I am a palliative care ACP and I work between the acute team, community team, hospice and clinic. I am passionate about providing excellent care to patients with a palliative diagnosis and advancing the services we provide, to ensure our patients are cared for holistically with as few barriers as possible. I started nursing at aged 16 and have experience in several areas of nursing over the last 27 years including, acute care, emergency OOH care, community, practice nursing, research, oncology and palliative care. Since completing my ACP MSc I have published a couple of articles and have produced several working SOPs for my trust. I Lead on several non clinical workstreams to improve practice and support my peers. In my own time, I love to travel with my family and keep fit. I also love spending time with my horse and riding over Cannock chase to blow away the cobwebs and clear the mind.
