I have a long career in Unscheduled Care (Minor Injury Units, Emergency Care, Primary Care, Urgent Care) and at present work regular sessions providing telephone consultations for a regional Out of Hours service. Until my retirement from a Senior Lecturer post, I was module lead for the clinical modules of an NHSE-accredited MSc Advanced Clinical Practice course. I am Educational Supervisor to applicants who are completing the NHSE ePortfolio (Supported) route and am a founding member/Chair of the Midlands Advanced Practice Forum. Time with family, reading, walking, theatre, travel and trying to improve my flute-playing bring balance to my semi-retirement.
